We’re busy working to produce a new community and cultural offering for Swindon in response to the COVID-19 crisis which has affected the world. We’re teaming up with an array of suppliers, organisations, performers, councils and food vendors to program a summer schedule of events at The Bowl in the Old Town Gardens.
Our plan is to provide a space, specifically designed and managed to allow attendees to enjoy food, drink and entertainment offerings while maintaining the current social distancing guidelines. We’re constantly watching the ever-changing guidelines and the venue will be reactive to this.
What About COVID-19?
There are many concerns for people when it comes to attending public events because of the crisis. We need to assure people, give them confidence and allow them to feel relaxed at our venue for this to be a success.
Please see the COVID-19 Measures page to see what we’re doing to ensure your comfort.
We are carefully programming entertainment to be suitable for the current time, we’re also not rushing to hit big numbers and will have a “slow start”.
We’re working now to program the event entertainment. Some sessions will just be background music. Others will be programmed with things such as:
A solo artist performer
A daytime background DJ
As you can imagine, running this event is a pretty complex thing to do with the current situation of the world. We ask everyone who comes works with us, and attends our events to be incredibly mindful of other people, give them space and remember that other people may not feel as comfortable as you.
We have this amazing facility – if you’ve got an idea for it then get in touch with us or see our Venue Hire page.
